Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE), a UK-headquartered international developer of utility scale solar and battery storage projects, has submitted into planning its latest 48MW solar farm.
The proposed ground-mounted scheme, known as Grange Solar, is located near the Suffolk town of Diss and is the company’s sixth solar project to enter planning in the UK. If built, it would generate enough power for around 16,000 homes.
The company now has more than 1GW of solar capacity in the UK in various stages of the development process.
Alex Ross, Director of PACE Developments in the UK said: “After extensive consultation we have submitted our plans for this ecologically-led solar farm which will also see the land continue to be used for agriculture. Grange Solar will provide a substantial biodiversity net gain on site, whilst also helping to address the climate emergency declared in East Suffolk in 2019.
“Clean energy generation has never been more important for the UK, ensuring the country becomes increasingly self-sufficient in energy whilst also supporting the drive towards Net Zero. We are delighted to advance this project into planning.”
