Pathfinder Clean Energy (PACE) is pleased to announce that Carol Mitchell has joined the organisation as In-House Property Lawyer.

In this role, she will lead the legal side of PACE’s land and property work across its UK clean infrastructure development pipeline.

Carol brings more than 20 years of legal experience across the UK, the Middle East and Australia, including over a decade in the renewable energy sector.

She spent 13 years at Lightsource BP, one of the world’s leading solar developers, where she joined as Legal Counsel in 2012 and rose through Deputy Head of Legal and Legal Director to Associate General Counsel – Global Strategic Projects and ESG, a role she held from 2020 to 2025.

Rob Denman, Managing Director of PACE, said: “Carol’s depth of experience in renewable energy, and her long track record supporting the growth of a global clean energy developer, will be invaluable as we expand our UK and international pipeline. Securing the optimal and bankable property rights is the foundation of every project we deliver, and having that expertise in-house will help us move faster and with greater certainty.”
